Worship will begin around 11:15am.

As an element of worship, this morning we will unpack and wrap diapers for distribution through the Bottoms Up Diaper Bank.

The Youth Group will meet tonight at 5pm
Scout Troop 316 will meet Monday night at 6:30pm
The ESL Ministry will start a new semester this Monday at 7pm
There will be a Bible study group meeting at 10:30am on Tuesday Morning
Tuesday there will be a Zoom class on the video series "The New Testament You Never Knew from author N.T. Wright at 6:30pm
Midweek Meal this Wednesday at 5pm
Fall Classes before and after the Midweek Meal; Beginning Greek and Animal Theology at 4pm. Genesis, "In The Name of Jesus" by Henri Nouwen, Youth, and Children after the meal at 6pm
Love Stitchers will meet at 9:30 am on Thursday
The Choir will rehearse at 6pm on Thursday
Citizens for Canines will meet at 6pm
A group will meet on Monday nights at 6pm, starting in September, to watch and discuss the limited series The Chosen Season 3 in the Connections Classroom
September 21 at 6pm our Animal Kinship Ministry will host the Volunteer Coordinator of Metro Animal Shelter as a guest speaker
There will be a Blessing of the Animals on October 28th from 10-10:30am

And God will be glorified.

John 10: 25-28

25 Just then a lawyer stood up to test Jesus. "Teacher," he said, "what must I do to inherit eternal life?"

26 He said to him, "What is written in the law? What do you read there?"

27 He answered, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself."

28 And he said to him, "You have given the right answer; do this, and you will live."

While the discussion element of worship takes a form quite similar to a traditional sermon, during this service questions and comments are encouraged. No need to raise your hand, just call it out.

Missions Element

Forest Lake UMC's Modern Worship Service includes a hands-on missions project, which serves as a modern expression of worship.

Today's Missions Element is unpacking and wrapping diapers to be distributed by the Bottoms Up Diaper Bank here at Forest Lake and in other distribution locations across West Alabama.

Dissmissal

Dismissal is very informal. Please feel free to offer your goodbyes and dismiss yourself at any point after the Missions Element is introduced.
